Copycat Cheddar Bay Biscuits

Cheddar bay biscuits

These copycat cheddar bay biscuits are golden, buttery, cheesy, and finished with garlic butter. They taste like the restaurant-style biscuits everyone reaches for first.

This is a homemade copycat recipe inspired by cheddar bay biscuits. It is not an official restaurant recipe.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups biscuit mix
  • 3/4 cup cold milk
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 4 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 425 degrees F and line a baking sheet with parchment.
  2. Stir biscuit mix, milk, and cheddar until a soft dough forms.
  3. Drop spoonfuls onto the baking sheet.
  4. Bake 10 to 12 minutes, until golden.
  5. Mix melted butter, garlic powder, parsley, and salt.
  6. Brush warm biscuits generously with garlic butter.

Mood Messy Tips

  • Do not overmix the dough or the biscuits can turn dense.
  • Brush with butter as soon as they come out of the oven.
  • Serve warm for the best texture.
