Crockpot BBQ pulled pork sandwiches

This pulled pork is easy, saucy, and perfect for sandwiches, sliders, baked potatoes, or nachos.

Ingredients

  • 3 to 4 lb pork shoulder or pork butt
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp smoked paprika
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tsp onion powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce, plus more for serving
  • 1/2 cup apple juice or chicken broth
  • Toasted buns, pickles, and coleslaw

Directions

  1. Mix brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Rub all over the pork.
  2. Place pork in the crockpot with apple juice or broth.
  3. Cook on low for 8 to 10 hours or high for 5 to 6 hours, until it shreds easily.
  4. Shred the pork, discard extra fat, and stir in BBQ sauce.
  5. Serve on toasted buns with pickles and coleslaw.
