Think spinach dip, but make it Southern. This butter bean dip is creamy, cheesy, smoky, and baked until hot and bubbly with bacon and sharp cheddar.
Ingredients
- 2 cups cooked butter beans, drained
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar
- 4 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- Crackers, for serving
Instructions
- Heat oven to 375 degrees F.
- Mash about half of the butter beans, leaving some whole for texture.
- Mix butter beans, cream cheese, sour cream, cheddar, bacon, and seasonings.
- Spread into a small baking dish.
- Bake 20 to 25 minutes, until hot and bubbly.
- Serve warm with crackers.
